Oh no... Our wedding band was delayed. No more bling bling!!

We were supposed to collect our wedding band today after 3 months of waiting. However, we were being notified by Lee Hwa that their overseas factory cannot cope with custom made orders, hence the delay.

They initially informed that it will be ready only in mid Oct.However, we need it for our photoshoot in Oct too. After the discussion, they say they will try to complete it by mid or end sept. Hope they keep their word... Abit unhappy with Lee Hwa service.

So sad.. no *bling* bling*

New Cheongsum from Emanuel B Couture

Recently, I have been crazy over cheongsums. haha.. maybe watch too much hongkong tvb dramas. I especially love the cheongsums in "The charm beneath". Saw some really nice ones in the show and hope to own one too.

I started looking around for suitable cheongsums. Realised that there are different quality of silks and lace. Cheongsum prices can range from $100 + to $3000 + depending on the quality & embroidery. Shandong silk and french lace seems to be the more expensive one,

After going around a few places, I ended up MTM a cheongsum in Emanuel B Couture. Made from french lace and chiffon with lots of beads & embroidery, it is quite elegant and can be used as a evening gown or tea dress. Can't wait to see the end result! Will update in the blog once it's ready.

Wedding Planner & Professional Emcee

Wedding is once in a lifetime. Therefore, I should try to enjoy every single moment. With the assistance of the wedding planner and professional emcees, it will ease my worries and I can just focus on how to be a pretty bride. After browsing through the google search and forums, I have shortlisted a few companies. hehe.. I finally have a final contestant in mind, Corazon Events.

Reason for choosing Corazon Events
1) Attractive prices
2) Comprehensive package

The package comes with 2 emcees and 1 coordinator that will help u plan and coordinate the whole wedding event. On top of that, there is free consultation. Most importantly, during the first meet up, we have quite a good impression of the emcee.

We confirmed them on the spot when we met up a few days ago.. haha... One lesser item in my wedding checklist.

My diamond proposal ring...

Time flies.. I have wore my proposal ring for more than a year. Seems very "blackish" and lots of scratchmarks. As my photoshoot is getting nearer, I decided to send me my ring for a thorough polishing.

I have just collected my ring from ION Orchard Gold heart. *blink* blink*blink* Looks brandnew!!!

Dazzling gold theme - Bridal Jewellery revealed!!!

We have been thinking of a special theme for our wedding since the beginning of last year. Actually, our top choice was a disney wedding theme where we can enter the ballroom in a cinderella carriage and sing our favourite disney song " A whole new world". The professional emcee will pop out as a genie with a magic lamp. However, it was not very feasible, given that our ballroom space is quite limited.
No doubt, we are still exploring the feasibility of the idea and will be meeting up with an event company soon. Meanwhile, we have thought of any alternative theme - > Dazzling gold theme. This could be possible given that this is one of the theme provided by the hotel. At the same time, cute gregory, mama and mother in law had bought some bridal jewellery which could match the theme. Dazzling gold theme doesn't sound too bad after all.

Didn't know that nowadays gold can be so fashionable. The latest italian design by poh heng was unresistably tempting and lovely. I can't help falling in love with it.

These are some of the nice photos of my bridal jewelleries:

Why we are getting Married

Gregory: For many times already, I've asked Catherine why she is marrying me. The std reply ------> "You very cute mah". Desiring a more in-depth response, i recently bargained for some serious answers from her. Well it turned out that she found that I was the guy she could communicate best with (among all that she has met) and she is excited on our future together since along the way we found out that we really had the same goals in life. She also mentioned that i treated her very well and trusted that I would continue to do so in our married life together. That really quite sweet, actually... and perhaps good enough reasons to get married?

When the tables turned and the question was put back to me (i.e. why do I want to marry her), it really wasn't easy to give a sincere answer. Setting aside my ego and thus uncovering my true feelings for her... i guess the following would be the answers. 1) She is capable (perhaps more so than myself), sensible and I respect her as an equal companion; 2) I deeply felt that she is sincere in loving me in good times and in bad and I can trust her to do so in our married life together; 3)She's an optimist, gentle, easygoing. Her touch never fails to lighthen up my grumpy interior and draws me out from my cave (although sometimes i might not show it) and...4) okok... she's beautiful.. elegant..

I have put all these down in writing to steer keep our relationship compass pointing in the correct direction --- always.
